Fashion. Music. Philanthropy. Rock the Runway is a community movement that strives to raise funds and awareness for recognized local and international charities.
Founded in 2007, RTR aspires to inspire new and innovative talent in the artistic world, including designers and musicians. The mandate of RTR is to promote community involvement through volunteerism, collective creativity, and igniting a call for action to believe in the power of change.
This year marked the 4th annual RTR and featured 7 emerging Canadian designers and a performance by Young Empires with proceeds benefiting War Child Canada's Afghan Women's Community Support Project. This important program strives to improve the lives of vulnerable women and their children in the poorest neighbourhoods of Kabul and Jalalabad. http://www.warchild.ca/
